A bookshelf in the living room is in plain sight every day. Standard shelves hit their limits exactly there: the dimensions don't fit the wall, or the system doesn't expand when the library grows. KUUDU is built on a fixed 75 cm section grid — the preset shown here has three sections, putting it at 225 cm wide.
The preset measures 225 × about 200 × 35 cm in oak (FSC European, oiled). 35 cm full depth holds hardcovers and art books without the shelf intruding into the room. In the configurator, section count adjusts from 1 to 6 (75, 150, 225, 300, 375, or 450 cm), and height is composed from foot height, levels, and gap heights.
Per board, the system is rated for 20 kg. KUUDU is made in Germany; expansion and replacement modules are available within standard lead time. If you want to add a fourth section in two years, it attaches to the same construction.

35 cm full depth — the standard depth in the KUUDU configurator, suitable for paperbacks, hardcovers, and most art books. A 15 cm half-depth is also available in the system — typically for hallway or display setups.
Each board is rated for 20 kg. Levels and gap heights are selected in the configurator, so the shelf can be tuned to the actual weight of the books planned for it.
Yes. The system expands horizontally with additional sections (75 cm each) and vertically with additional levels. Oak is the currently shipped wood — matching add-ons are available within standard lead time.
